Cloud King

featured artist: Fred Gates

Fred Gates shows in New York!

Graphic designer and Cloud king artist Fred Gates is showing work at Seed Gallery in New York. If you're around, pay them a visit.

Seven New Artists

Seven new artists, which brings our total to 72 (!). We are quickly outgrowing the current site, from both information architecture and technical standpoints.

Something will have to be done.

Re-emerging From the Busy Place

W00t! Our giant project went very, very well, and I can now put some time into the King. I've added half a dozen just today, and more are on the way.

By the way, if you have a project that needs some Movable Type wrangling — I am now the MT master. ;)

All Quiet on the Cloud King Front

Thanks to a string of good projects, I've been neglecting Cloud King. I have about a dozen new artists to add, and about two dozen prospectives to review. My head will be out of the ground in a few weeks months (project overload!!) or so, and when that happens -- watch out. ART EXPLOSION.

New Addition: Justin DeGarmo

I'm excited to tell you that Justin DeGarmo has just been added to the site. He has some really funky stuff, you really need to check it out.

New Photography

Another week, more art. Caryn Drexl is a Florida-based photographer whose dark, conceptual works almost always portray women. (I pretty much stole that straight from her bio.)

Back in the Saddle

A new artist has been added, Avram Dumitrescu, and we just reviewed about two dozen submissions. Lots more to come.

Um, We Won

Well, we're in Austin and, while we can't believe it, we won the CSS category in the web awards. It's very cool.

We really have to thank the artists -- without them the site wouldn't be worth visiting -- not to mention empty.

The Forgotten Artist(s)

Back in November (November!) Claudio Parentela sent me images for the site. I made the pages, I made all the image size variations, I did everything except actually add them to the site! Sorry Claudio!

Update: Gah! I found another one! Sorry Bruno Seys!
